Subject: The night was chilly, but SKB was STEAMIN!
I flew in from Europe to catch the show with my little sis and her spousal unit, and we had a simply ROCKIN time! SKB on the banks of the mighty Mississippi, life does not get much finer - great venue, good seating and service, and the PA was RUDLEY LOUD! Also thought we would miss Mitch, but were pleasantly surprised by the chordal tapestry provided by Mr. Walter! To give Steve compliments is a little redundant, we wouldn't have been there if it weren't for his consummate ability, but he did seem to be in jovial mood, commenting about the Fat Lady singing at the end of the night. We must however take several lingering moments to speak of Rodney. The death-defying display of percussive acrobatics was stunning and bewildering to behold. Jaw's scraped the floor, drinks froze in mid air in order to enable heads to shake in disbelief. In fact, TIME STOPPED, if you were there, you know what I mean!! Rodney ATTACKS the drum kit with his chopstick ninja weapons of mass destruction!! To say he is has a zen like tranquility in the midst of the maelstrom of the music he whips up is an understatement. RODNEY IS A GOD. If you don't understand, SEE THIS TOUR!!!
Mississip' Nights CRANKED up the sound and Rodney just exploded through the PA and filleted the entire audience...what can I say, he splits atoms whilst others bang tubs! Never since Bruce Lee wiped out an entire island of henchman have so many people been laid waste to by a single nun-chuck wielding master of his art!! The only possible detraction from this perfect evening of mind numbing melodic mastery was some people's ability to remain oblivious to the spectacle at hand, carry on conversations, or stare out into the middle distance as if blind or dumy as we well as obviously deaf! You can hear the level of crowd static in the quiet moments, which is a shame! Ultimate kudos to the tapers...I spoke to you on the night, you are doing a fantastic job, keep it up - stay on the road!!!! Do yourself a favor, support SKB, support live music and archive.org...what an amazing way to relive an amazing night!

Subject: Thank you!!
Thanks so much for sharing this recording!! It's almost like being on tour... except I'm at my desk. :) Great sound quality!

Dare I say this? I have to admit that I miss Mitch terribly on LF. This tune seems to have gotten softer and sweeter. Not that this is a bad thing, but I miss the hard, jump-up-and-down-head-exploding rush of this song when Mitch was there.

Ah, well, change can be a good thing. Thanks again!

Subject: Can't wait to see the new SKB
This performance gets a 5 from me as the recording, a great Aud BTWay gets a 4.
Powerful start, Long Form Pt.1 and Ice Cream set up Cissy Strut perfectly.
This show looks like a favorable setlist to my eyes & it sounds great also.
Can't wait for 10.20 & 10.21 in Virginia.

Subject: THIS BAND IS REALLY COMING INTO IT'S OWN
I saw these 4 musicians last March in Fayetteville and thought they were incredible. I was so juiced about seeing them again in my hometown and they did not disappoint. This is the best Kimock show I have seen to date. The sound is really good here for an audience recording. I think I was actually sitting at the table right next to the guy that taped this. If you like this group of musicians (Robert Walter rules!), download this show now. I give the performance a 5 and the recording a 4. I was in attendance in Chicago the next night as well but actually thought this show was ever so slightly better. Thanks for the recording.

This was a great topper to a fantastic week of shows. Midwest Kimock tour is where it's at. I have seen over half of the shows these guys have played together since 10/29/04 and have come to the conclusion that this is the greatest band in the world! Ice Cream on this night was stellar and the Samba intro is out of control. Thanks alot to SKB for showing me and my friends a great time, thanks to CM for providing us with these excellent recordings, thanks to Andrew for letting me borrow money so I could make it to this show.

Subject: YES!
Correction: The first track is actually Long Form Part I, not Part IV. Part IV is the up tempo groove with the monster signature "high-to-low" scale.

Anyway, this show smokes! I really love a good AUD...and this is a GREAT AUD! Steve's true tone really comes through on a solid AUD...a soundboard does not capture his full range like a great AUD.

I have only made it to Cissy so far...but I love what I am hearing. I give a 4 for setlist.

These four guys are already great together...we knew that from last springs Equinox tour. They will get better and better as time goes by.
